CNC g-slot belt drive milling cutting alluminum

Yesterday I recived a little package from banggood with some endmill for my mini cnc 🙂

I bought some one flute end mill and some 2 flue end mill.

I test the one flute end mill with wood and they work nice. Against aluminium they work really bad… maybe it’s my machine fault…

but the 3mm 2 flute carbide end mill work FINE 😀

My mini cnc is verry litte and not so rigid… so I have to use very low speed and depth cut parameter.

Want to remember you that my mini cnc use wheel on estrusion profile (like openbuild style) and it use pulley-belt driven system for x and y axis.

You can see a little video collage here

Feed rate 400mm/min
Affondo 0.1mm
RPM: 12000
Cutting diameter=3mm

I have to much vibration… I have to improve the rigidity of the z axis.

But you know…. these are the first tests 😀

There is a uge difference between convetional milling and climb milling direction (like anti-clockwise or clockwise direction).

THERE IS A LOT OF THINGS TO LEARN 😀
